Your life deserves rituals to mark the occasions that bring you meaning and purpose. I would love to craft a wedding, a baby blessing, a divorce, or a funeral rite for you or a loved one that helps process emotions, remain connected to Spirit, and asks for the support you need. For each ritual, a connecting thread is cloth. We are born into cloth, we live in cloth, we die and our bodies are wrapped in cloth. It would be an honor to craft a sacred garment, cloth, or talisman to accompany any of these rituals and carry forward the energy of these sacred rites.

Weddings
The celebration of a union of lives is sacred work that is not solely about the people getting married, but also about one’s community, traditions, and values. I love to craft weddings that connect to the Sacred and the earth, marking a new chapter in the lives of a family and a people. I offer the option to craft a hand-fasting [link to FAQ: What is a handfasting ceremony?] cloth to be used in the ceremony and embroidered with symbols important to the union in consultation with each couple. I am also open to embroidering veils, garments, and other cloths to be used in the ceremony. And please note: I charge half-price for queer couples and full-price for heterosexual couples.*

As a heterosexual couple, your support of my ministry to queer people helps to restore our rights which have too long been invisibilized and systemically denied. Baby and Parent Blessings
The birth of a child deserves sacred recognition and a ritual of dedication on behalf of parents, family, and the community that will raise this child. Rooted in a blessing of the elements, children are welcomed into life on this earthly plane through a gathering of community and a commitment to sacred care. I offer a Child Dedication ritual, meant to be shared with the child’s family and community following their birth, to honor the arrival of the child and to invite those present to make commitments of care and support to baby, parents, and family. I also offer a Birth Blessing for expectant parents- a ritual meant to bless the family before the birth of a child, to offer voices and intentions from those supporting the parents and preparing for this baby to be born. Blessed swaddling cloths and sacred garments with embroidered sigils and symbols can also accompany these rituals in consultation with me to keep the energy of the blessing alive in the child’s daily life.

Funerals
I have been presiding over funerals for the last 15 years. Honoring the life of a deceased beloved is a privilege. Death rites are meant to tell the story of those who have died as well as offer an opportunity for those who have loved them to remember and share their own stories. Rituals that I prefer to lead are participatory, honor the theology of the deceased as well as those present, and draw upon an earth-based tradition of meeting in circle. In the tradition of many cultures and in caring for our Earth, I also offer death shrouds crafted as simply or ornately as you would like. These are custom cloths that wrap the bodies of the deceased, surrounding them with the intentions of those who are holding them in blessed memory and meant to be the cloth that holds their body when they are buried.

Divorces
I personally benefited from rituals and ongoing spell work to mark my own divorce and I would love to bring some of what I have learned to you to craft a ritual and a physical marker of this transition. A divorce is both an ending and a beginning which deserves ritual and intention to accompany the grief, the joy, the anger, the excitement, the logistics of it all. For some, this looks like an intentional ritual between the people getting divorced, held privately or with family and community. For others, this looks like a ritual personal to you held on your own or with another accompanying you or even amongst your community of support who have surrounded with care in this transition. I have experience with transforming my own wedding dress into a protection spell for my home following my divorce. And I feel inspired to also offer spells for the home and the heart to hold the intentions of what you need to mark this transition and honor the different or even new life you will be living.
